The Unvoiced Feeling🌟

There are some souls
who do not enter your life like a storm
they arrive like evening light,
quietly, almost unnoticed,
and before you realise it,
they have coloured places within you
you never knew were waiting to be touched.
Perhaps that is what the first kind of love feels like,
not the kind that asks to be called love,
but the kind that teaches your heart
a language it had never spoken before.
It began with ordinary words,
small conversations, familiar laughter,
a friendship that slowly gathered
the weight of something unnamed.
And somewhere between the countless little moments,
one heart began to remember
what the other perhaps never realised it had left behind.
There were days when a message
could soften the edges of an entire day,
when a simple conversation
felt like returning to a familiar window
after wandering through a restless world.
And perhaps, for him,
it was simply a beautiful companionship,
a safe place to speak,
a friendship that carried its own warmth,
a presence he could return to
without knowing how deeply
it had settled in another heart.
That is the strange cruelty of unspoken things,
two people can stand beneath the same sky
and still live beneath different meanings.
One heart may call it friendship,
while the other quietly discovers
its first glimpse of forever.
No promises were made.
No future was written.
Nothing was ever truly held,
and yet, somehow,
there was so much to lose.
So the heart learned to remain gentle
with what it could not claim.
It learned that sometimes loving someone
means carrying the feeling without placing its weight
upon their shoulders.
And when distance arrived,
it did not erase what had been.
It only made the silence louder.
Still, somewhere inside,
there remains a small, foolish hope,
not for a grand declaration,
not for a story forced into existence,
but for one more conversation
where everything feels effortless again,
where laughter returns without hesitation,
where two people sit across from each other
and the unfinished pages
do not feel so unfinished.
Perhaps that is why first love is remembered differently.
It does not always become a relationship.
Sometimes it becomes a season,
a secret kept beneath the ribs,
a name the heart knows
but the lips never dare to give meaning to.
And perhaps years from now,
when life has carried both souls
toward places neither can yet imagine,
there will still be one quiet corner of the heart
where this story remains untouched,
not because it was promised a forever,
but because for a little while,
two ordinary people
made each other's world
feel a little less lonely.
And maybe that is enough
for a feeling to be real.

“Perhaps, in another lifetime, this feeling may find the courage to become a story. But in this one, I still leave a little light burning for the possibility that it might. For now, it remains the first tremor of my heart, the first tenderness I could never name, and the quietest piece of forever I will carry long after the pages have ended-while somewhere within me, a small, faithful part still hopes that this lifetime might be the one where the unwritten finds its way into being.”
